  1. maintains a record of all coauthors and joint authors who sign on to legislation;
  2. maintains and distributes district, biographical, and membership information of current house members; and
  3. forwards certified copies of original legislation to house committee chairs.

The Chief Clerk’s Office does not provide copies of legislation to legislators, staff, or the public. Copies of legislative documents from the current session can be obtained from House Document Distribution, and copies of legislation from previous legislative sessions can be obtained from the Legislative Reference Library.
