The Summary of Enactments is published after each regular session and provides a brief synopsis of all bills that were enacted and all joint resolutions proposing amendments to the Texas Constitution that were passed by the legislature during the session. Information similar to that contained in New, Renamed, and Abolished Sate Government Entities was included before 2006 as a chapter in the Summary of Enactments publication.

Each volume of the Summary of Enactments since 1997 can be accessed in PDF format from this page. Earlier volumes can be accessed from the Sessions and Years page of the Legislative Reference Library website. Printed copies of the most recent volume may be obtained from the council's document distribution office.
