U.S. Congress

The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas ordered an interim plan (PlanC235) for the districts used in 2012 to elect members of the Texas delegation to the U.S. Congress (court opinion). This plan is in effect for the 113th U.S. Congress (2013-2014).

Texas has 36 congressional districts, as determined by apportionment following the 2010 census. Each district has an ideal population of 698,488.
