State Senate
The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas ordered an interim plan (PlanS172) for the districts used to elect members in 2012 to the Texas Senate (court opinion). This plan is in effect for the 83rd Legislature (2013-2014).
Texas has 31 state senate districts. Each district has an ideal population of 811,147.
