Aug. 28, 2012 - The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued an opinion in Texas v. United States denying Texas preclearance on the 2011 legislatively enacted senate plan (PlanS148), house plan (PlanH283), and congressional plan (PlanC185).

Mar. 19, 2012 - The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas issued opinions for the interim senate (PLAN S172), house (PLAN H309), and congressional (PLANC235) plans.

Mar. 19, 2012 - The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas issued an amended election schedule for the 2012 primary elections.

Mar. 1, 2012 - The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas ordered a revised election schedule, including changing the primary election date to May 29, 2012.
